The place, feminine and bohemian
in the Gràcia neighborhood
Flor de Agua's space in Barcelona
I tried to create something special, pleasant, and welcoming, where one can feel at peace and safe, something personalized and largely handmade.
It is a small and authentic space, without pretensions.
The importance of the artistic environment in Flor de Agua
Paintings, fabrics, curtains, and screens. I tried to put a little bit of my soul into the place and dedicated a lot of time and care to the decor. Many things are handmade, either by me or by others, and the objects in my space have a story!
The importance of colors and the representation of the empowered and dynamic woman
In various paintings and collages, I tried to represent my surreal inner imaginary world, as well as women with strength and initiative. This is how I want women to feel when they leave my massages: capable of anything and accepting all their facets! I speak of women, but of course, everyone is welcome at Flor de Agua, and I hope each person can reconnect with their sensitivity and vulnerability in my space!
A retro, bohemian, exotic feel with oriental touches
Away with greys, urban styles, and minimalism—I want colors and the permission to dream and travel! Over time, I hope to emphasize this side more and more, somewhere between a fairy tale world, Alice in Wonderland, and a vintage universe. Additionally, Flor de Agua is located in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona, a neighborhood known for its bohemian and artistic vibe, and it was important to me that this shines through in my space as well.
The importance of mystery
In a society where planning and control are almost daily obligations, I want to offer a little spontaneity and surprises.
The importance of details and simplicity
This is a place made from the heart, with few resources to begin with.
Lights
I use only warm lights, with orange or pink tones, and sometimes candles made from natural wax. These lights create a much more intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, I pay attention to the colors of the space, decorating with various plants, stones, and paintings. It’s my way of bringing a piece of nature and art into my environment.
Music
I have chosen the music specifically to match the type of massage I will give. Sometimes I see the massage almost like a silent dance with the body of the person receiving it, and the music helps a lot.
Creams, oils, and essential oils
I work with natural, organic, high-quality, and hypoallergenic products, suitable for all skin types. I take care of the containers and also try to use as little plastic as possible.
The essential oils I use in Aromatherapy massages are of great quality and very unique. I selected them for their aromas and health benefits: antidepressant, neuro-sedative, stress and anxiety relief.
Hygiene and Sheets
During the massage, it is recommended to be covered only with sheets so that no clothing interferes with certain maneuvers near the glutes and hips, for example. During the massage, only the area being worked on will be uncovered. This is done first to ensure the person doesn't get cold, and second, to help them continue feeling protected.
In any massage setting, it is very important that everything is impeccable, and towels and sheets must be changed for each person! Everything must be cleaned at over 60°C. Of course, in addition to that, I take care of the room's ventilation and perform energy cleanses, which are crucial to ensuring a session takes place under the best conditions.
